Dancing with a Wounded Inner Child IX. – The Lost Faith

In this crazily interesting world, two types of urge terminate the human soul- Power and Money!

Dear readers, followers, friends and all of you, who are deeply attracted to nurturing souls and mental health, I am so excited to share this topic, not only as a result of my own “accumulated” opinion but also as a result of working with diverse groups of people coming from various backgrounds and especially having a wide palette of life experiences, daring and having the courage to share with us, who pour their enthusiasm and expertise into this difficult, but still rewarding work.

Referring to the introductory sentence, we could easily use the same denominator for both elements- Power and Money – “Use but do not abuse”. It is truly wonderful to live in abundance, get some of the money-soluble problems sorted out, and have the power over certain things in our lives, but those that mostly relate to ourselves as individuals. It is very well known that self-regulation is one of the most difficult aspects of life. This is actually the root of the problem, because most humans have a tendency to avoid the introspective part of their life, and they promptly run into a world of constant comparison with others, unhealthy competition, unwarranted hatred towards other people whom one even does not know personally. If these external standards of success are not met, unfortunately, it happens frequently that an individual weakens his/her connections with family and narrow circles that were sometimes meaningful to him/her, ends up emotionally broken or even welcomes him/herself into one of the worst Oblivion – Addiction. In one of my previous posts, I have thoroughly explained the genesis of addiction, it is absolutely clear that an illusion about a person/situation/time/place cannot be a perpetuating lie. If there is a tendency to make one of the aforementioned elements, a lie then it is only a temporary situation. The truth swims out sometimes, and it is actually one of the best medicaments in humankind. Isn’t this such a simple Truth of life, that takes most of the humans to be learned during a whole life span? Wouldn’t it be more comfortable for all of us to revise this basic Truth and no matter how difficult is to be ingested, it is a guarantee to our spiritual freedom.

Do we actually have the right to have the power over something?

Of course, it is not shameful to have the power over our behaviour, setting our life goals, creating our boundaries, impacting our mindset (values), allowing our creativity/expression – Suma sumarum – Believing ourselves nonetheless of all of the external factors that could have strong opposition towards pursuing our own authentic personality that is equivalent to our lifestyle. This is actually a very difficult task to pursue because any kind of introspective action takes a lot of effort, consistency and willingness to make the necessary changes. Pursuing all of these is very well known – Taking your own responsibility for your life.

How does the money impact our mindset and vice-versa?

Money can solve money-related issues, but definitely cannot compensate for the lack of awareness, self-regulation, social intelligence, natural talent, unique personality, resilience and many other interesting factors that are closely tied to our original persona. In the case when money-related issues are getting solved, one may feel relief and get rid of many sleepless nights….easily get from the dead end towards stardom, which of course, impacts our mindset, but in such an ambiguous way. This is the reason why I first mentioned Power before stepping into the Money. If we have the Power over ourselves, the Money related issues will never be ambiguous and our persona will never become different! In the opposite situation of mindset having an impact on our perception of money, we should always remember that the rule is the same, it is just an inverted palindrome. If one does not differentiate these things, it is easy path to fall into the trap of lending money that cannot be easily returned, softcore criminal, addiction behaviour and in the end broken ties with the persons who were meaningful in the life of an individual.

How does all of this relate to the lost faith?

In a society in which worthiness is only measured according to the external factors – success, wealth, societal position, visible accomplishments, political-religion ties, religious dogmatism, and “Status quo”, it is just difficult not to get overwhelmed by all of this external assessment that could lead an individual to confusion. The difficult situation gets aggravated when the parents and institutions have this kind of externalised point of view. They keep stuck to this kind of behavioural pattern and unfortunately, forward it to their children. What an indoctrination for a pure innocent little heart! Who gives them the right to corrupt a young human being with their beliefs? Are those beliefs just serving one to create disbelieves towards their own natural capabilities and their authentic self? Does the system exist for the sake of the system just to feed itself in such a parasitic manner? Breaking the authentic faith in a persona just to feed the system that shoves through the throat one of the very well-known societal narratives: “If you wish to eat fish, you will get a Scorpio”. This narrative is regularly transmitted to the life situations of various profiles of people…. For example 1. a woman wants to pursue her scientific career, she is frequently advised to bear the children, 2. a woman is talented for acting she is threatened that she will end up as a prostitute, 3. a person is talented for visual arts a threat comes …oh no, you don’t want to end up not selling your art and getting hooked on heroin, 4. a person wants to enroll medicine get advised to get a job in retail because a person is not from a wealthy family 5. a person gets a soul wrecking job but is advised to stay there and not ask for something better…..So many examples serve us to learn how the invisible system becomes visible and how it engraves into the soul. Still, all of the deeds that originate from this behaviour act superficial and non-authentic and yet, so acceptable for society. Excuse me Sir Captain, in which direction are we sailing?

Can one relate this lack of trust as a result of implemented addiction behavioural patterns?

In any kind of relationship, there is a possibility to develop the already mentioned pattern, it is not reserved only for psychotropic substance abuse but also for inadequate relations with emotions, relationships, information processing, shopping, food, games, video games, TV….

Comfortably Numb

Yes, we know it very well. Committing a cold murder of faith and hope is such a detrimental act for an individual, but…..Hey! There are still some oligotraces of hope and faith left. They are dormant, but they need to be properly recovered! You need them so badly to lead a happy fulfilled life! How can an individual find a gateway from the spiral of negativism, implemented beliefs, and spiritual slavery? Could anything be prescribed? Let me tell you something that won’t be a consolation, but kind of rebuilding the resilience! Yes, there is a way, but it should be your authentic way and the professional help is there to help you find your own healing path. Trust is the answer.

Reconciliation with self

Faith and hope, which were taken away, with an attempt to be erased or medicated are the crucial points of our existence. Without faith and hope we could have built a specialised continent-format cemetery for individuals who committed suicide. Never let anyone in this world steal your faith and hope! Despite the hardcore effect that has attempted to diminish the soul by any other form of power and money abuse, phenomena of comparison with other people and having to swallow for years all of those bad feelings about yourself, it is now the perfect time to begin with your healing process, setting your priorities and healthy boundaries and surrounding yourselves with similar thinkers who seek internal satisfaction. First of all, the acceptance of one’s situation and willingness to make the necessary changes is the first and crucial step in the healing process. Remember, you are not alone and there are plenty of interesting and helpful resources that could help in the recovery and in finding your own path toward inner peace and satisfaction. St.Ignatius of Loyola mentions in his literature the phenomena of the imprisoned soul that is awaiting the ray of light to give hope and enlighten the soul. It is the beginning of the healing process to make a shelter and prepare your soul to cleanse it from all of the noxious factors that create untidy tendencies so that your soul can get ready to accept the best gifts and healing that were already intended to be.
